Restaurants & Bars

KC / Westwood KS / New Sutera's

The new Sutera's is now open at 47th & Rainbow in Westwood. The space, formerly occupied by Nance's Deli for many, many years and a meat shop/deli before Nance's, was totally gutted and remodeled. You'd never recognize it as the old Nance's. Really looks great!

Had a late lunch/early dinner there on Friday with a friend and we were quite pleased.

Big, icy-cold salads with terrific house Italian dressing. I had bleu cheese added and it was a very generous portion.

Our entrees were linguini with clam sauce and pasta with meatballs, and both filled our needs for an Italian fix. Good bread, too.

This place was much needed in that neighborhood and it sounds like the folks in the 'hood are supporting it well already.

Lots and lots of parking. Smoking area on bar side. Nice clean restrooms.

Sutera's has owned and operated a restaurant in the stockyards area for about three decades and they formerly had a venue in Brookside.
