I don't get to NYC very often but when I do I ALWAYS go to Katz's for a pastrami sandwich. I was there yesterday and the pastrami was tasty as always but tough and grizzly. There were 3 of us and we all had the same problem. There were bits that were just not chewable. One of my companions had been just 3 weeks ago and the pastrami was fine, as it has been for 35 years. Was yesterday truly unusual or has something terrible happened?
