I'm a Chowhound visiting from Berkeley, CA, and was just wondering what the best places for katsudon and unagi were. For unagi, I'm looking for a place that's affordable for two college students - are there any of those traditional eel shops that fit the bill for affordability while not compromising (too much) on quality?
Also, katsudon recs, esp. around Ginza, would be appreciated. (I've been entranced by the katsudon description in Banana Yoshimoto's "Kitchen" ever since I read it 10 years ago.) Thanks!!
