Felt like trying out a new spot (no room at ZO, and Masu didn't even bother returning my call for a reservation...) Anyways, thought I'd give Katsu a shot, based solely on some of the good reviews on CH. So I reserve for 8pm at the counter.

As I drive past the place at 8pm looking for a parking spot, I threw a quick peak and.... empty. Not a single soul. Seemed strange, maybe I didn't see right. Turned the block, approached the restaurant again and slowed down. Completely empty at 8pm on a Saturday night. I don't think I've ever seen that in any new restaurant in my life.

I didn't bother eating there, not because I care how "in" or trendy a place is, but because a completely empty sushi restaurant can't really bode well for the quality (and longevity) of their fish.

Am I wrong? Yikes.
