I won't ever going back to Katsu (on Danforth)

I know this restaurant for 4.5 years, often dine at this restaurant with family and friends where I lived in toronto. We all liked this little neighbourhood restaurant. 2 year ago I moved to other city. I return to Toronto this month and have buffet dinner with 2 friends at Katsu to catch up the good old times. We ordered 1 bottle of sake and a cup of long-island ice tea (taste awful). The food tasted so bad compare to 2 years ago before I left T.O. The miso soup was diluted with too much water. The tempura covered with thick batter and they tasted all the same. the fish sliced so thin with way too much rice. the beef teriyaki was the worse of all, they tasted like rubber and hard to swallow. The food is not the worse part. the service is the worse of all. We only orderd twice with small quantity, but they forgot to bring out 1/3 of our orders. I have to remind them 3 times. The washroom in the restaurant is very wet and dirty. The meal and service were below average, but they do have good sake. The bill was about $74, we left $80 and walk toward the exit. Suddenly, a waiter caught me by my shoulder and said "you owe us tips", I said" we left 6 dollars tips". then he said "We have a 10% service fee policy. You people never pay enough of tips" and gave us a nasty look. I was shock and then angry, but I don't want to stay in that place one more second. I reached to my pocket for a handful of coins and dumped them on the table. And Left.

Last night, 2 of my friends friends and I went to Ginger and Onion Cuisine, located near Pacific Mall on Kennedy. Last night's dinner was fabulous, the services provided by the servers were really good (in a busy place, they managed to came once in a short while to our table and ask whatelse we need and how is the food WITH GREAT SMILE). The washroom is clean, dry and well stocked. We had Vancouver Crab, Lotus Scallops and beef with vegetable (2 cans soda and 1 bowl of rice) for under $40. They take whatever tips you put down, but they have such a good service and clean washroom I gave them 30% tips. Tips should be earn not given.
Recommand Ginger and Onion Cuisine to everyone who loves Chinese Food.
