Karavalli - Latham

I finally got to try Karavalli this weekend. Many thanks to PZ for suggesting it. It really was excellent, with many dishes you don't see anywhere else. We went for mother's day brunch buffet and it was jam packed. 90% (at least) of the diners were Indian families, so you know it had to be good. The service had a hard time keeping up with the crowd, but the food was replenished frequently on the buffet. There were probably 6 or 7 veggie dishes; lamb, chicken, goat and fish curries; tandoori chicken, shrimp, and lamb kebabs plus really good chicken wings; 4 desserts plus fruit; and salad things. They also brought dosas with potato in them to the table as well as naan. Everything I tried was really very good. My kids were a little choosier, but still found plenty to fill up on. We'd definitely go again, or maybe get take out of the alacarte menu.
