Kao Klook Gapee?

Lynne Campbell | Mar 6, 2003 10:08 PM

Hope you can understand my transliterated Thai. A Thai friend has made this dish a couple of times--so delicious. It's rice mixed with shrimp paste and then topped with a variety of good things: slices of omelette, unripe mango, sweet marinated pork, cilantro, tiny wheels of raw green beans... It's a luscious combination of tastes: salty, sour, sweet. Does anyone know of this dish? Is it served anywhere in NY? (I'm from Philadelphia and can't find it here.)
