Restaurants & Bars

Kansas City, MO downtown (near convention center) dining

aniron | Mar 22, 201711:33 AM     2

Hello,

We are a bunch of professors (not tenured = not very rich) visiting Kansas City, MO for a convention and staying near the Convention center.

We want to try out some dining options, which are nice enough for a sit down dinner, for maybe $15-30 an entree (excluding drinks etc), where one can talk a bit and a nice dinner and ambience.

Are there any must try's you recommend? We don't want BBQ and would love to try local restaurants as opposed to a chain.

We would prefer to walk, but can take a taxi/tram if needed.

One of us wants to try some good Indian food (not a lunch buffet) so that is a recommendation we need.

Do let us know. We are only here for a few days.

Thank you
aniron
