Just had dinner at Kanoyama last night, after not going there for a while, and I am happy to report that it still delicious. The tuna rib (for 2, I think) was excellent and they even took it back to the kitchen to grill it after we were done eating the raw meat so as to get the bones and marrow crispy. Delicious, giant portion, and well worth the $45.
Their basic omakase deal is also pretty good (about $30), but honestly the specials seemed more interesting (fish brain in broth, baby eel, and silverfish to name a few) so my partner and I decided to get those. There is also the ultra nice chef's menu at the front bar, which we hadn't had since last year (a little more pricey).
