Late report from a dinner in April 2017 to respond to a request for more intell for Santa Clara . . . Kami Korean Kitchen was memorable for the homestyle cooking. Not so warm and fuzzy a feeling at first when we were greeted at the door with "no Korean BBQ here". But the well-tuned cooking and modest prices won us over. The menu's small and priced in various combinations . . . almost felt like I needed a 3-D matrix to optimize ordering here.
My brother felt the spicy fried chicken was better than Bonchon. We ordered it with rice cakes, a good foil for the sweet-spicy sauce. You need to allow 40 minutes to fry to order.
Kalguksu & sujebi combo in anchovy broth was wonderful on a rainy night, especially with the housemade condiment. Kimchi is great too, we polished off two plates worth.
