Kai Kai Thai

Has anyone eaten any of the entrees at Kai Kai on East 1st St? I made a meal out of three appetizers(they have a longish list of smaller dumpling and satay type items) and wasn't left with much of a decisive yeah or neigh on the place.

The steamed chicken dumpings were average at best. Probably from freezer to steamer to microwave. Then an interesting crepe(Ma Ta Ba? I think) which was filled with ground beef and bits of sweet onion and came accompanied by a sugary, dish of diced cucumber.
Based on this item I'd be interested in trying more.
The steamed chicken bun which followed was a pretty but small white flour-based cube with some standard issue hot sauce on the side. Nothing to thrilling and not worth 2 dollars when whole noodle dishes are only 5.

They have 4.95 lunch items that I'm tempted to try but I would hate to waste yet another meal of mediocre Thai food.
