Marrons glacés are my number one most favorite thing in the universe. I've had French ones, Greek ones, Italian ones, other Turkish ones, and even some Canadian ones.
Love them all, but I was given some of these Kafkas beauties last Friday and they are simply splendid: large, tender, packed with flavor.
There's no alcohol in them whatsoever (of course) but they taste as if they have a very good Cognac in them.
I'm trying to find out where they were bought (they were a present) but if you should find yourself near them at any point and love these little darlin's all I can say is POUNCE. You will not be sorry.
