Jerome recently posted about the LA times article on the Chu book---a book recommended by Thi some weeks and weeks back. I get the impression he doesn't like the book--not even a bit. Oh well, reasonable minds can differ. I for one, like good moon cakes and take umbruge at Chu's comments on mooncakes. I must concurr with the person who noted that the book is a guide book---there are dozens of restaurants being recommended and stuff does close while a book is being printed especially restaurants. Anyrate, I found the information fascinating and appreciate having the chinese names for things.
But I digress. While I knew that Quanjude was closed [and had been for a while} I was not aware that JZY cafe was closed---I know we were there less than a year ago. So the question is, are they open or closed? Because if they are open, I want to go again.
