Last week's visit to Jupiter resulted in a few notable eats:
Little Moirs Food Shack-- Though my mother proclaimed it overpriced, we really enjoyed it. The tuna-basil roll appetizer was amazing. Great wasabi dipping sauce and the tuna was wonderful. We also had the house salad for the second app--great avolcado and pinenuts liberally added, and a garlic-lime dressing. For main courses, spouse had the horseradish crusted tripletail--very nice combo and the crusting was delish. I had the grilled fish taco. Would have prefered if it was wrapped in a more traditional flour taco instead of a seasoned wrap, but the fish was firm and tasty, and the mango and red onions complemented nicely.
Crazy Buffet - in West Palm. The sushi was decent, and fairly varied, but the Chinese entrees were kind of scary. The younger members of our party were thrilled with the ice cream bar. Since I'm from Boston, I compared this to Minado. About equal in terms of sushi, but Minado's other dishes are superior.
Song airlines - Maybe this belongs in general topics, but $8 got me the best sandwich I've ever eaten on an airline. Fresh whole-grain bread, feta cheese, good black olives and roasted tomatoes. Excellent!
