We don't go as often as we used to, mostly because they are so-so on the food end of things and the prices are more than so-so food deserves. Last night I was glancing at the little plastic early bird menu, but since it was past 6 p.m. that was out. Then I turned it over and saw a "steak and eggs or steak and veggies" little blurb. So I said "What the hell, I'll have the steak and eggs with hash browns." Boy was that a good decision. The steak was pretty thin, about 3 inches wide and about 12 inches long. It was cooked to a medium rare, (which is hard to do with such thin meat) and had a dark and kind of smokey exterior with the meat juices running off into the over easy eggs and hash browns. I will go back and have it again and it will be terrible, but last night it was great.

Okay, I want another one right now.

And to top it off I had the pound cake sundae with hot fudge, (which I split with our teenage weasel son) and it was very, very, very good..which it usually is. Moist pound cake, lots of whipped cream, walnuts and tons of hot fudge with 3 cherries.
