We read how there are some entertaining, enjoyable and affordable spots on 9th Ave. On our first night in the city from Mass., we checked into the hotel, took a short walk and found Julians. We have nothing but good words to say. The food was delicious. Kris had grilled swordfish on an eggplant compote that was tremendous. I opted for salmon with salsa and risotto that also was excellent. The service was prompt, the waitress was pleasant and helpful, and the dessert was a perfect way to end the evening. For two non-NYers, we were amazed at the low price and the quality of everything at Julians. It was very remindful of the restaurants in and around Providence---but that's another story.
