juicy lucy in the east village

happy hour at next-door sing sing on the weekend, I dipped in to this tiny juice bar after 3 hours of beltin' out the hits and had the "cleansing tonic": beets, carrot, ginger and apple. I look for ginger in these juices now, especially after the awesome juice I had at Village Yogurt (http://www.chowhound.com/topics/481527) and this place didn't disappoint. the juice had a lot of body, strong ginger flavor and soothed my throat just in time for another couple hours of singing. I was tempted by the rio bowl, but it seemed strangely promotional. a bowl of acai topped with oatmeal, bananas, granola and maybe some other stuff, but offered on a poster much like those advertising Tower Isle jamaican patties in pretty much every pizzeria. at $6.75, seemed just like a pre-packaged marketing ploy but if anyone has ever had it, please let me know if its good. right now, the best veg dessert I've ever had was at souen, their creamy parfait (read about it here: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/486798), made of some strawberry jelly with agar-agar, some sort of creamy thing and granola. perfect perfect dessert.

the address below is the right place, but the name is Juicy Lucy's.
