Juicer Help: Green Star versus Green Power

epicure-us | Sep 1, 2005 12:00 PM

Please share your experiences with either one of these double-auger juicers. They are quite costly (anywhere from 380 to 430 after you figure in shipping and tax) and are supposed to be great for leafy greens and wheatgrass. Also they juice herbs well.

I plan to get one or the other soon. Green Power is a larger machine and is not being made anymore, if I am not mistaken. But it is still available by on-line mail-order, and is slightly more expensive. Is it "better," i.e., noticiably more powerful, efficient, less likely to break?

Also, is the fruit juice attachment worth getting. (I am keeping my moderately used Champion for carrots, beets and apple juicing.)
