JUdson Grill - Thank god I didn't pay

Abbylovi | Mar 15, 2001 03:26 PM

So I got taken out on a biz dinner by a sales guy to JUdson Grill. He's a huge fan. I am most decidely not.
It's a very nice space, with very good service but the food did not even begin to thrill me.
I started with a crab salad appetizer. I think it was called peekytoe crab or something and it was really tasteless except for a somewhat mayonaisey taste.
My main entree was skate on a bed of mashed potatoes and spinach. Eh. It's the kind of thing that I would expect at a bad wedding dinner.
Dessert was a chocolate ice cream soda with jack daniels. Had I known that almost fully half of the liquid in this concoction was to be JD, I would not have ordered it.
It was Wednesday night and the place was empty. But I'm thinking that the lack of people might be due to the market. I wonder how this is affecting other restarants. Anyone notice this?
