After reading all the praise for this place, I visited Joy Yee's in Chinatown two times for lunch recently, and I've been very disappointed.
First, the service. The woman who has waited on me each time has been cold and mean and never returned to my table after taking my order. She seemed much nicer to tables with Asian guests. I am caucasian. But my money is still green.
Second, the food was subpar. The Pho-style soup had greasy broth and tough/fatty meat. The pork roll udon had flavorless broth, and very bland noodles. In addition the udon noodles were round and so slippery that eating them with chopstix was nearly impossible. What happened to square udon noodles????
