The joy of a perfect White Peach!

I picked up a ripe white peach at the Jefferson Market today and just had it as my dessert for tonite. Oh readers if you have never had a ripe white peach you just haven't lived! I recommend chilling the peach for 2 hours in the fridge to get the juices to retreat into the flesh, and then eating the peach in a small salad bowl with a small knife and fork. The juices are the nectar of the gods and you don't want them to be lost down your chin or on a saucer, so the small bowl will collect the "extra" for one final celestial sip. If you are near the JM tomorrow run in and grab em while they're ripe. The season for white peaches is tragically short. Oh damn I should have bought three! :)
