Joy America

batman asked a little ways down about Joy America, but I figured I'd make a new post...

A recent lunch there proved to be a tasty and enjoyable experience. The menu has firmed up in the last year, taking a bolder stance with its Mexican and Spanish flare. Sweet potato soup was delicious, as was the generous pile of chile-dusted buttermilk-fried calamari. They weren't chewy either, done just right. My quesadilla had spinach, mushroom, and monterrey jack, finished with fresh salsa and aioli- also tasty and filling. I could have used a little more spice, but I think most patrons would disagree. Wine list is eclectic and well matched for the menu. Everything is well presented and pretty to look at, with liberal use of sauces in squeezy bottles. Portions were healthy- order too much and you'll need a, erm, a houndie-bag?
