Please join Yimster and me at the next in our now on-going series of workday lunchtime Chowdowns, Tuesday, July 20th at Shanghai Restaurant in Oakland's Chinatown....Yes, we know some of you prefer other days than Tuesday, and the one after this will be on Wedn. or Thursday, we promise, but we really wanted Yimster's help with translation and the menu at Shanghai, and Tuesday worked for him, so Tuesday it is!
The Chow: Shangai is a small restaurant with dim sum and also specializing in Shanghai cold plates like fried fish and 5-spiced duck, noodle dishes. See the prior post below for a more detailed description.
The Logistics: We will probably have room for a maximum of ten persons, so please email me back right away if you want to go. Alternatively, if you are already on the Oakland lunch Chowdown series evite list that Joel set up for Gold Medal, I think you will be getting an evite shortly from Joel. (If I get email from you I will be forwarding it to him). Once you are on the list, plan to meet at the restaurant at noon on Tuesday the 20th.
See you there!
