Joe's Chowfeast Update

Marty L. | Nov 19, 2003 01:51 AM

Well, the overwhelming consensus is for lunch on Saturday at noon, so that's what it'll be. (I'd be happy to send a group e-mail to the small handful of those who can only make it Sunday evening, so that they can if they wish organize a second CH meal of their own on that day.)

We have somewhere between 14 and 16 folks so far confirmed; and I'm fairly certain we can reserve two large tables, seating approximately 20 people, for 12:00 Saturday. So please continue to e-mail me at the above address if you'd like to attend. (Anyone heard from Roe or Elyhtak? -- each has in the past expressed interest in this meal if it ever came to pass.)

Directions? Wisconsin/Rockville Pike/355 North from DC. (Or, from 270, get off on Montrose Road going east. Go about a mile-and-a-half (I'm guessing here), to Rockville Pike (355). Turn left to go north on the Pike.) Joe's is on the right about a mile or so north of Montrose. But you won't see it from the road; it's in a strip mall, facing north. Once you see "On the Border" on your right, and Hooters on your left, it's time to turn right into the strip mall parking lot. 1488-C is the address. (If you hit Best Buy, you've gone about a block too far north.) Check out the not-to-scale map on the Joe's menu, linked below.
