joe v's review

rebs | Jan 14, 2004 10:13 PM

went to joe v's in the south end for dinner tonight. it's a nice neighborhood spot, inexpensive, and good food. i had the chicken parm served over penne which was good, but could have used more sauce. the bf had the lasagna "chalkboard" special which was very good. nothing flashy and not the best italian around, but definitely good to take care of your comfort-food fix on a chilly night without having to cook it yourself. service was great and food came out fast. they could use a heavy curtain by the door to block the cold air. the room temperature would drop about 10 degrees every time the door opened. i'm sure it's not as bad on a regular night, but tonight it was only 4 degrees outside!! other than that we had a great time and we're glad to have a spot like this a block and a half away.
