I decided to try these guys based on reading some positives from this board and because I live so close to this chow gem. I ordered the large 5,000+ Calorie, with light sausage. Light sausage?? Sheesh! That thing was saturated with endless mounds of cheese and sausage (I'm not complaining)! When the guy opened the pizza box up for me to take a look I asked him if he was sure this was the LIGHT sausage and he confirmed. I'm afraid to see what a heavy topping would look like. Anyway, I am a pizza eater that focuses on the dough and usually don't care one way or the other about the sauce. In this case, however, I must say that the sauce rocks and the dough is equally as tasty! It was soggy though obviously from the cheese and meat. I prefer a dryer crust that can withstand the extra juice from the cheese and other toppings. Should I have ordered differently or is this what I can expect in the future? Maybe I should have ordered the Blue Collar instead of the 5K+? It was still an awesome pizza and I'll certainly be going back.
For all of you who are ready to reply by saying I should have tried D'Amore's instead, relax...it's next on my list.
