JJ Grimsby's in Stoneham- Nice surprise

macca | Sep 7, 2005 09:41 AM

I have been to JJ grimsby's before, and have never really been impressed. Usually go to watch the sox. They have some of the coldest beer on tap. We usually order apps, as you have to order food after one drink ( old Stoneham "blue law"). But we stopped in to watch the game and have some lunch on Monday, and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the patty. A hamburger, ( sooked rare, as ordered), with lots of swiss cheese and sauteed onions. Served on grill rye bread. Asked for the fries "well done", and they were hot and crispy. Served with a kosher dill pickle. Delicious. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but I will be back for the patty melt.
