My on-again-off-again BBQ tour was on today. After reading a few of Burger Boy's posts on J&J I decided to make the trip and sample the cue. It's on Adams, a couple blocks east of Fairfax. They have a nice covered patio to eat your lunch and the man behind the counter was very helpful.
I'm usually a beef rib person, but got the pork today, a half-slab. I asked for the hot sauce. The owner warned me that it might be too hot, but I said give it to me anyway.
The ribs were top-notch. VERY meaty and with a great smoke flavor. Thet weren't falling off the bone, but they didn't put up any resistance either. The sauce was really not very hot, but had a great taste.
For a side, I ordered the macaroni salad. It was very creamy, just as I like it. I could have eaten twice the amount.
I need to return and try the beef ribs, plus the burgers. If they are as good as the pork, I may never eat BBQ anywhere else.
Thanks for the rec Burger Boy!
