What about Jitlada for Thai?

Tom | Feb 5, 2004 03:32 PM

I live right near Jitlada Thai (Halsted/Waveland), but have never tried it. I read that it is very authentic and very good, and Thai nationals can be found there regularly. I got a carry out menu from Jitlada recently, and it looked pretty typical Chi-Thai (like "tex-mex"). By that, I mean it had all the usual dishes -- pad thai, pad sei ew, curries, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but if something is listed as "authentic" something, I expected to see some dishes on the menu that were unfamiliar to me. Maybe they have a secret menu like others do?

Has anyone tried Jitlada? Feedback?
