Jimmy's Import Foods

All I can say is WOW. This little convience store located on the corner of Fitzhugh/Bryan near downtown has to have some of the best italian food I have had ANYWHERE.

It is the only place in town that I know of that you can buy real Italian XXX flour. Unfortunately my quest for making the greatest pizza dough has been put on hold because they sell large premade frozen dough there for $2. I just made two and they are AWESOME.

I also purchased some fresh mozzarella, homemade meatballs and italian sausage.

My wife and I ordered a muffaletta (i know, not italian but the olive spread was even better than Central Grocery) and a panino with fresh buffalo mozzarella, fresh sliced parma ham, basil and tomatos.

They have an italian food section with hundreds of different kinds of pastas and some great hard to find italian wines.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.
