Jimmy's in Dallas

Dallas Alice | Feb 24, 2006 09:01 PM

OK, this is old news to those familiar with Jimmy's at Bryan Street and Fitzhugh in East Dallas, but today I went there for lunch with a friend and, based on his blissfully happy reaction to the place, decided to give the joint a plug on this site. Jimmy's is a place that makes the world seem better than it really is. The sandwiches are enormous, delicious, and cheap. The selection of Italian wines, pastas, deli meats, etc., is as good as you could ask for. Their home-made Italian sausage and meatballs are tremendous. Everyone is really friendly, too. The place is a gem. Dallas is very, very fortunate to have this place.
