I agree that Chowhound is a good board and, having travelled myself to some quite out-of-the-way places (i.e. Uzbekstan, Fiji, Puerto Monte Chile etc) as well as the usual suspects. I find it great that the World is on one site as I can contribute anywhere I see something where I can help. Other sites (IMHO) tend to departmentalise the areas and one tends to go for the areas they like best (i.e. Europe) and neglect areas that can be interesting.

However I do have one major complaint: the threads are kept together where they were originally posted. This means that anybody interested must troll all the way down to see a particular thread. Therefore if I add a reply to a particular question what guarantee is there that anyone will actually see the answer - particularly if the original thread is a few weeks old? Other sites update the thread and put it first on the list if it has been added to.

I honestly feel that a lot of input is lost by not updating the threads position. Have I made this clear :)-
