I've been to Pollo a la Brasa & think it's among the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had. I rank it up there with Bandera for chicken. For take-out BBQ he was right about J&J BBQ & Burgers as well as Phillip's.
Haven't been to Boneyard Bistro yet but the reviews here seem to be mixed. Robin's Woodfire BBQ sounds great & I have to check out Campanile again. Haven't been there since Nancy Silverton left. Sounds like Mark Peel has it "HOT" again. I've found in my dining travels that there is a huge difference in wood stoked grills v/s natural gas. The gas gives the meat or vegetable an odd flavor. It may look good but the flavor that a hickory, oak or fruit wood smoker or grill imparts is impossible to fake. I think that Jonathon Gold hit on all 10 cylinders this time. Great writing Mr.Gold.
