J.G. Melon's review

AssociEat | Feb 2, 2005 09:46 AM

I ate at Melon's a couple of nights ago, in what I'm pretty sure was my first visit. My verdict: good, nothing special.

Melon's has an old-fashioned pub ambience that is pleasing enough. The chili was meaty and tasty, although not spicy at all. The burger, which is why you go there, was solid. Good quality meat, juicy. But not absolutely delicious like Bartley's in Harvard Square or Diane's on the UWS back when it was good (and still existed). Not even as good as Molly's. Fries sucked.
