"Jewish" cornbread

I'm looking for "Jewish corn bread" such as my Uncle Harry used to buy in Brooklyn at a bakery which I believe was on Kings Highway, just below Ocean Avenue, and around the corner from Ave. P. Somewhere close to there. It was a delicious! bread. Now, my wife has made the "Jewish corn bread, sourdough style, from the recipe that is on the web, but it is not the same style of bread-it is a great sour rye bread. Is Leon's "Jewish corn bread anything like the one that used to be sold on King's Highway? Is the K.H. bakery still in business, etc. etc. I wish I had been on the track of this when I still lived in Bklyn, but that was 21 years ago (and Leon's was our bakery-what a chocolate cake they used to make, called the brown bombshell, or black-out, or something like that.) Anyway, if we could get a recipe for the other style Jewish corn bread, we'd keep trying to duplicate it for ourselves, here in Minneapolis. Thanks.
