Jerusalem Cuisine, Lincoln, Nebraska - sad news

Infodiva | Jan 24, 2006 10:26 AM

I can't believe it - after 8 years of serving terrific Middle Eastern food,
4 years after having expanded from 4 tables to 20, Jerusalem Cuisine is closing
its doors as of this Saturday.

I spoke with owner Jaffar last night, while paying for my meal of felafel, veg grape leaves,
and hummus. He's simply tired of 14 hour days, 7 days a week (and he did look it). He hopes
that a sale will go through before Saturday, and if it doesn't, he's just closing up.
I know restaurant work must be very hard; I certainly couldn't do it.

So, if you are in the vicinity of 70th and Van Dorn this week, make sure to stop in. It will almost certainly be your last chance. I defy anyone to deny that Jaffar's felafel is the best in the Midwest, and perhaps anywhere else.
