Jelly Candies

Jelly | Jun 9, 200302:09 PM

When I was little, I used to eat these Chinese jelly candies. They basically were little bricks of gelatin, about two inches long. They were sweet-flavored, I think some had a slight orange flavor.

IIRC, each brick was individually wrapped in wax paper. There also was a very thin inner wrapper that was edible. I might be confusing this, and there may have been only one wrapper.

They came maybe 64 in a box. The box was about 5" x 10" x .75". I would get them in various stores in SF Chinatown.

Well, I want some more. I can't seem to find them. Plenty of stores have shelves packed with Asian candies, crackers, etc. But nobody has my little jelly candies.

Anyone know what I'm talking about/where to find them?
