We have some dear friends coming down to your beautiful part of the world for four full days to celebrate an anniversary. While we have been to Charleston and Savannah, we've never had the pleasure of visiting Jekyll Island and don't know much about the regional specialties or not to be missed local spots. We were huge lovers of the lowland stews, shrimp and grits and Gullah cuisine on our most recent trips to Charleston and Savannah. I'd love to find our friends the equivalent of Charleston's Hominy Grill on Jekyll Island if it exists! That was one of our faves: warm and gracious hospitality, top notch ingredients and a casual, unfussy setting. Truly, ANY places with delicious, notable fare will suffice. Breakfasts, snacks, dinners Etc.
Thanks so much in advance for your insight.
