Looking for jazz / blues wine bar - Chicago Loop area

I am looking for a busy (but not over-crowded) jazz / blues wine bar in the Loop area of Chicago to show off my beautiful Lady, and show her a great time. She likes getting dressed up, and going 'out on the town', so I am looking for something more upscale.
I am looking to avoid the meat locker / 20-something crowd. We avoid sports bars like the plague and appreciate fine dining / drinking. Our favorite place to eat / drink is the Aquaviva Winery in Maple Park, IL (west of St Charles / Geneva on RT 38). High quality, excellent food and wine, great service and friendly staff, and reasonable to boot...
I have read many reviews and can't find one place that sounds like a home run... The Tasting Room @ Randolph Wine Cellars has been recommended, among others, but numerous older reviews make me a bit wary...
Red wine selection is very important, esp. California wines, but would like to expose her to other options. I am a white / Riesling sort, though I prefer good craft beers.
Thanks in advance for your advise.
Joe
