Java Moon Cafe - Red Bank

I am a snob about baked goods, but I found a brownie that I really like. It’s at Java moon Café – RT 35 on the Red Bank/Shrewsbury border just south of the rail crossing. They sell a classic brownie with walnuts, no frosting, no chocolate chips, nice balance of cakey to fudgey texture.
The place is good-sized with a cute décor. They have lots of sandwiches and other meals, which I haven’t tried. We did stop in for cake. The mousse cake was better than average, but not great. A peanut butter cream pie was tasty, but the peanut cream filling had soggy chopped nuts mixed in. I recommend the BROWNIE.
They serve good tea. But they serve it in a mug with no saucer. Grrrr.

Has anyone tried the sandwiches or entrees?

Powy’s art gallery is across the street. They have nice exhibits.
