New Japanese on York Ave

We have a new Japanese Restaurant on York Ave at the corner of 81 Street called Yuko. Nice name huh? Anyway, it seemed to always be full from when it opened a few weeks ago, so we just got around to trying it tonight. We are not sushi eaters or very adventurous so I can't tell you about anything obscure. I had the best miso soup I ever tasted, excellent gyozo - very light, and chicken teryaki that was unbelievably good. My wife had a delicious salad, seafood/veg tempura app. that was great, and salmon teryaki that even I liked. I hate any farm salmon so this may have been wild. Even the green tea seemed to better than any I was ever served before.

Most other patrons were eating sushi, but hey, it's the Eastside.

My Japanese eating until recently was from East when it was ordered at work. I hate the food from that place, except for their gyoza. Yuko is about ten levels better than East.
