After having been moved from a Mahwah office to Morris Township, my colleagues and I searched for a substitute for Tawara in Ramsey. Nara in Morristown hit the mark with everything a match and more including a great lunch basket.
Today we went to Minado in Morris Plains (Powder Mill Plaza West on Rte. 10). If you have any kind of appetite, you can have what elsewhere would set you back a small fortune for $13.95 at lunch. As a Westerner, I'm sure my palate isn't as well honed for this as many of the other patrons', a large number of whom appeared to be East Asian, probably Japanese. Everything was fresh, and the variety was incredible --sushi of all varieties, sashimi, hot and cold dishes, teriyaki, all kinds of vegetables, soups, the works. I tend avoid chain restaurants and didn't know this was until I took one of their cards to share at the office. Anyone else been there? If so, what's your take on this?
