i just learned that this stuff is edible. apparently it is rich in the antioxidant resveratrol. has anybody cooked with it? i read that it's best to eat the shoots in the springtime. we just ripped a bunch of it out of our backyard and since it's a pretty aggressive plant i suspect it will start to grow back shortly. will these new shoots be ok to eat or did i miss the boat? and if they're ok to eat, what the best way to prepare them? do i eat the stems or just the leaves?
thanks in advance!
