where Japanese expats eat

Having parents who are immigrants from Japan as well as being surrounded by family friends who are from Japan, we are always on the lookout for authentic Japanese places. Many Japanese love Honda-ya, Santouka, Anjin. A new place that is worth checking out in Irvine is Fukada. I think its still a fairly new restaurant. Every item I've tried is great and most of the patrons there are Japanese . They hand make their soba noodles and I highly recommend the zaru soba (cold soba) Here is a link showing where Japanese expats around here like to eat (sorry the page is in Japanese, but you can get an idea of some of the restaurants by looking at the address)
