Japanese curry

I am a sucker for Japanese curry but only ever had the homemade version made from a box of Golden Curry mix. Also very partial to Katsudon from the Japanese supermarket down the street.

For my upcoming Tokyo trip I am assuming I will be happy with GoGo or CoCo Ichibanya but there is probably better stuff than these chains. On tabelog I get confused between curry rice (カレーライス) and "European Style " (欧風カレー).
Any remommendations?
