Iona (dimsumdiva) and Bob promised us the insider's dinner at one of their favorite Chinese restaurants in Portland, Chinese Delicacy. We were all too busy putting chains on our tires and ice skating to work on the original date. But nearly the full crew from the first outing made it there one week later for Chef Tang's Northern Chinese/Chinese-Korean delights.

Insider's meal indeed! We put ourselves in Bob and Iona's hands and three (well, technically four) of our seven dishes weren't even on the menu. Here's the rundown:
* Neverending Kim Chee (free)
* Seafood Hot & Sour Soup (#23, $6.95 for a large) with shrimp, krab, scallop, bamboo shoots, wood ears, egg, and more
* Shrimp Dumplings (#6, $5.95)
* Peking Egg Rolls ($15.95 for 4) with shrimp, pork, mushroom, bamboo shoots, and wood ears wrapped in a thin egg "omelet", dusted with flour, and deep fried
* Korean Meatballs (in clay pot) deep fried, then combined with sauce and vegetables (not sure of the price)
* Ma Po Bean Curds (#72, $7.25)
* Gluten Balls stuffed with meat and then combined with vegs and sauce (again, not sure of the price)
* Peking Style Sweet & Sour Chicken (on menu are shrimp #37, $8.95, pork #65, $7.95, and beef #66, $8.95)
Chef Tang waved at us from the kitchen's entrace several times checking to make sure everything was okay. His wife doted on us and was very happy to see us eagerly devouring their food family style. A very successful chowdown.
Note: if you want the Peking egg rolls (very Atkin's friendly), you need to call ahead and order them, allowing for a couple hours prep.
