had dinner there last night on our first night in the city. service at first sucked, but we then acquired a wonderful server who turned the situation around. The wild mushroom soup was excellent, not overly thick as it can tend to be. On Sunday nights they have a killer deal..........twelve bucks for a choice of five or six entrees. I had the hangar steak, which was very good, although it didnt arrive as hot as I would have preferred. The fries would have been terrific if really hot. but for twelve bucks, who's complaining? But the real star was the tuna carpaccio. The tuna itself was a bit lame (sliced so thinly that it was almost mushy) but the dressing, greens and fried onions were unbelievably good. Think I will go back this afternoon just to make sure it wasnt an aberration. One evening down and five to go.
