We were on our way home from Raleigh on a very rainy day and decided to warm up with a bowl of Jan Pong at China Express in Durham. Such horror to find the restaurant was permanently closed. We went around the corner to Inter Korea House and had a pretty good bowl of soup, but the broth just wasn't quite as flavorful and the noodles weren't quite as chewy as those from China Express. We are hoping for some Chowhound help. Is there anywhere else we should look for jan pong? I am going to attempt to make it at home, but so far my efforts to recreate Asian restaurant dishes haven't been very successful.
