Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar - Pricey NOT Tasty

Hound from out of town visiting some friends.

This place just plain sucked.

Tried the mixed veggie app: totally, utterly, flavorless.

Steets of TO: laughably miniscule portion and flavorless with the exception of the not really notable horse tartar.

Japanese mushroom custard muck (forget the name) too salty, but other then that flavorless.

Smoked duck itself was good. The accompanying salad and it's dressing: yah, flavorless, forgettable.

My main was about the only tasty thing: mushroom ravioli. That were good, but not exceptional.

Quenelle: salty, fishy, other then that: flavorless. Considering this place prides itself on presentation that quenelle was just one huge ugly glob on some lame veggies. Quenelle should be small little pillowy morsels from heaven. Shamefull as this dish is one of the holy of holies of French cuisine.

Steamed Ontario fish with a chive sauce, incredibly bland, lifeless, and flavorless.

Could not believe the prices. Our very very kind friends picked up the tab it almost made me cry how lame the food was with the obscene price tag. This place is an embarassment. Obviously others know this as the dining room was empty by 9:45 on a Saturday, though the tapas bar was hopping. Hope it goes out of business soon so noone else gets suckered!
