So I am making jambalaya tonight to take to the office tomorrow for lunch. I am making it stove top, but will put it into a slow cooker at the office so it will be hot. Should I:
1. add uncooked rice to the hot jambalaya at the office and cook on high until the rice is tender (1 hour? does anyone know?)
2. make the rice separately tonight (maybe with some of the jambalaya liquid) and add it to the slow cooker once the jambalaya is hot right before lunch (I could microwave the rice to heat it a bit before adding)
3. Your ideas/what's worked for you.
